Project description:

In the process of building the cardboard house
Yurt style
This is a cardboard house!  It is in the works right now and when deconstructed stacks 2ft high.  The house was designed based on the size of a flatbed truck, allowing a large amount of houses to be transported per truck to disaster areas.  The house is 12ft x 14ft and has 4 windows, and puts up in an hour requiring no tools.  The walls are 4-5 layers of cardboard thick, sealed with a finish that has no out-gassing, a non-toxic laminate, and will have non-toxic water based paint.  In the future the house will come with the option of solar panels and a water filter.  The house will come in two styles, rectangle and yurt.  The total estimated cost is 4-6 thousand dollars.
