Project Description:

Last year my mom found a free bench and the idea of a bike station was born (funny how the mind works).  We live just off a bike route and pretty far from a gas station air pump, and so as a way to support biking in Chico we built a bike station.  The little box is located out in front, just off the street, and houses a battery operated pump, patches, and tools for changing a flat.  There is also a bench to rest in the shade.  The whole thing was about $45 dollars and about a days worth of work.
