Project description

This herb spiral is not only a beautiful way to grow your herbs but is a space saver, allowing for more to grow in a smaller space.  Because there are different niches (heat, shade, moisture...) in an herb spiral, it allows for high productivity and the spiral shape is easy to water and harvest.  The large back yard garden space provides food all year round and produces just about all the veggies the household eats in the summer time.
On this property there are 130 fruit trees, which you would never guess by looking around.  Many are hidden in the landscape which is a good message for all of us - plant food everywhere!
How do they do it all... a job, growing food all year round, planting - pruning - harvesting 130 fruit trees?  One creative solution is they have worked out is a work/trade situation with a roommate, who pays the rent by working in the garden.
